From Serbia with Victory

Dinamo-Kazan players confidently beat local Vizura in three sets in the second leg of the Champions League group stage in Serbia.

Due to bad weather in European Russia, Kazan team's way to the game venue was quite difficult. Besides, the host scheduled the game for a time when it is late evening in Kazan. Do the players of Dinamo-Kazan have enough strength and class to overcome all these attendant challenges and beat the opponent, who will be supported by locals?

1st set. The Serbs perform a transition offense, however, a Kazan libero Yekaterina Ulanova shows strong resistance. In addition, several powerful hits by Natalia Mammadova quickly cut the host team's high morale. Then Irina Voronkova makes her devastating serve to give Dinamo a 2:8 lead. The Kazan strikers Mammadova and Voronkova make quick and strong hits so the Serbs simply have nothing to oppose - 8:16. The first set ends with the ace of Anna Kotikova, 18, who came specifically for substitution to perform a serve.

2nd set. Dinamo again starts the set successfully - 3:8. But such lack of resistance, together with the late night hours, lulls the vigilance of the Russian volleyball players. The Kazan reception is failed following the serve of Sladjana Eric, and the Serbian girls dig the spurs into the horse - 8:9. However, such a score wakes the Russians up immediately, and they come with a series of successful blocks to stop the Serbian's onslaught - 8:15. Voronkova's jump serve provides Dinamo with a good advantage in the end of the set - 12:20.

3d set. Irina Voronkova's serve again hinders the reception by the Serbs and Irina Koroleva easily blocks all poorly organized attacks of the opponent - 2:8. However, after a mandatory one-minute break, Russians girls again lose their concentration. In addition, it is almost midnight Moscow time... This gives a chance to the Serbian hosts. Besides, Desnica, the coach, changes the playmaker, and Angela Veselinovic shows a more diverse game alternating quick spikes by Sladjana Eric and spikes from the net edge by Katarina Lazovic - 10:11. However, the Russians again did not allow the opponents to even the score. The serve of the captain Evgeniya Startseva helped Dinamo make a leap at this difficult moment - 10:14. Then the Kazan team's block worked well - 16:20. The match ended with a series of serves by Voronkova.
